Thank you for visiting my website! It continues to be an honor and a privilege to serve in the Massachusetts State Senate and represent the people of the 2nd Suffolk & Middlesex District. Over the past 9 years in the Senate, and my previous 4 years in the House of Representatives, I have worked alongside my colleagues on numerous pieces of legislation that I believe represent the interests of working families and the communities I represent. I remain committed to important issues such as: quality and affordable health care, fair and equitable welfare reform, comprehensive and accessible mental health and addiction treatment, safe and drug free schools and the preservation of critical safety net programs for those in need. I strongly believe that these and other issues form the core mission of a democratic government, ensuring that all citizens are given every opportunity for a safe, healthy and prosperous life.
